01 Wedding Plan

Spain

Our wedding is from 18th to 20th July 2025 with the main ceremony on Saturday the 19th

Friday, 18th July

Since many people will be arriving from abroad, Friday will be a travel day. For those already in the area, we would love to spend the day at the beach with you. We plan to sunbathe, swim, snorkel, and relax near Sant Martí d'Empúries. In the evening, we'll have a casual dinner at Mas Terrats. We would be delighted if you could join us to meet the other guests

Saturday, 19th July

We would love for you to arrive latest at 5pm at Mas Terrats. Feel free to come earlier and enjoy the pool and surroundings at any time before the ceremony (but lunch won't be provided). The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm followed by appertizers, dinner and a party afterwards

Sunday, 20th July

We will organize a lunch to finish the weekend relaxing and swimming in the pool

More details to follow closer to the event

02 Dress Code

We want you to feel comfortable in what you wear. If you want to wear a suit or a dress, please feel free to but please don't feel obliged. Remember that we are in Spain in middle of July and it might well be more of 30 degrees. The only rules: please do not wear a white dress/suit, and do not wear stiletto high heel shoes (it's rural and outdoors)

Laura will be wearing a white dress and Amer will wear shorts and a shirt

Oh, and bring swimmsuits and towels for the pool

03 Food

As Laura and I are both vegetarian, we would like our wedding to be 100% vegetarian. We understand the importance of food in weddings and that for some of you having meat at a wedding is a must

We will give you the option to choose between a vegetarian menu or a meat menu, but we would prefer for you to choose the vegetarian option if you can

04 How to

get there?

Our wedding will be held at Mas Terrats, in Pontós. This region (Emporda) is a very special place for Laura since it is full of wonderful summer memories and family history. We wish to continue making loving memories there, and share the magic of Emporda with you all. You will feel it once you are there :)

The address is:

There will be toilets and showers available for the people sleeping in tipis/tents

06 What to do

in the area?

Barcelona: it is a big city with loads to offer for every taste.

We recommend immersing yourselves into Gaudi's architecture by visiting Sagrada Familia or Parc Güell (among many others). Going for a stroll in the old town in the Gothic neighbourhood and El Born. Villa de Gracia is a hipster neighbourhood perfect for a vermouth in a terrasse. If you go to La Rambla, make a stop at La Boqueria, which is a famous food market. Barcelona is a safe place, but please remember that there are MANY pick pockets and tourists are their favorite targets. Tip: beaches outside Barcelona are much better than the Barceloneta (Barcelona's beach)

Girona: it is Laura's hometown. Very walkable and cute. The old medieval center was used for filming parts of Game of Thrones (fun fact: Laura’s brother starred in the series). Worth a day trip

Figures: the city itself can be skipped, but the Dali art museum is worth a visit!

Emporda: the coast line called Costa brava is one of the most beautiful coast lines in all of Spain if not the whole world. It coveres the cost from France to Blanes. The best beaches there are not large long lines of sand but rocky hidden coves, called Calas. Some of the highlights include: Cala s’Alguer, Aigua Blava, and Cala Llevado. Some of the beaches are directly accessible by car, while others can only be accessed by a hike along the so called 'Cami de ronda'.
In addition, there are several towns and villages at the coast such as Cadaques, Tossa de Mar or Sa Tuna.
Lastly, Emporda does not include just the beaches, but also picturesque villages such as Pals, Peratallada or Monells.
One restaurant highlight in the area is Moma, an apple themed restaurant using locally produced apples for their entire menu and ranged of juices and ciders

We always love talking about travelling and organising trips, so if you are looking for further details or other plans, please share it with us

07 Gift

The greatest gift is for us to spend those days with you all. It means a lot to us that you travel from abroad and dedicate time and money to celebrate love with us. We are not expecting gifts since we are aware travelling to a wedding is an expensive commitment. However, if you really-really want to (or if you want to contribute to the honeymoon), here are our bank account details (for the non-Spaniards, it is absolutely normal to transfer money as a wedding gift. Please don't give us cash)
